I'm sorry that's how the piece came across, I think Jack is a really lovely guy and the story of his family and relationship are really heart-breaking and wholesome (I have actually read about it!). And I don't think what I wrote has somehow tried to erase that. The piece is tongue-in-cheek but it's not meant to be snobby, I think he's a really great person and has a very fun personality. Sure you can argue talking about his calves and smile is objectifying but it's nothing more than a silly online thirst.

The line about me changing my Hinge location to Birmingham is literally because I live down south, I have absolutely nothing against Birmingham and having studied near the city, I think it's a great place.
